Susana Pendzik, PhD, RDT, is an experienced drama-therapist, trained in San Francisco, California. She is a supervisor accredited by I.C.E.T. (the Israeli Association of Creative and Expressive Therapies), a Registered Drama Therapist at NADTA (North American Drama Therapy Association), an international member of BADTh (British Association of Dramatherapy), founder and honorary member of the Swiss Dramatherapy Association, and the representative of Drama Therapy by the Israeli Association of Creative & Expressive Therapists at international forums.

Susana is Head of the Drama Therapy MA Program at Tel-Hai Academic College (Galilee), also lecturing at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, and the Drama Therapy Institute of Switzerland, as well as in other institutions of higher education worldwide. She combines teaching with private practice with individuals and groups.

Born in Argentina, Susana has lived in Mexico and the U.S, and does extensive international work. Susana is a mother, a poet, a theatre director, and a researcher. She is the author of many articles on drama therapy, of a book on the use of action techniques for working with abused women, and a coeditor of Assessment in Drama Therapy (Springfield, IL:C. C. Thomas, 2012), and first editor of The Self in performance: Autobiographical, self-revelatory, and auto-entnographic forms of therapeutic theatre (Pallgrave, 2017). She co-authors with Lili Brik Levy a recently published book in Spanish on Dramatherapy: A creative outlook for therapeutic work (Madrid: Sintesis).
